Biography

Someone once said "anyway that's enough about me. How about you? What do you think of me?".
In 1985, aged 19, I was the proud recipient of my first photographic qualification. My City & Guilds course complete I wanted to enter the world of professional press photography.

We all know life doesn't always go to plan and I entered the world of banking and financial services where I remained until 2004 when I left my role as Regional Area Manager.

My photography ambitions never left me throughout this time and I had the pleasure of keeping my skills up to date conducting many wedding shoots and portrait commissions. I have had the pleasure of visiting many beautiful venues across the North East, Midlands and Scotland. In turn I have made some great friends too.

I also kept one step ahead by obtaining more photographic qualifications along the way with a view to 'going it alone' in this industry I love.

As a member of the The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers I abide by their rules of conduct as a commitment to my customers peace of mind.

My philosophy is to provide an enjoyable and quality service without stretching your budget.

Whoever you chose to capture you special occassion, I want to say thanks for considering GCG Photography.

As I always say,

"May the best of your past be the worst of your future"
